Precognition - The Secrets of Mentalists.
By Pascal Le Guern & Tibor the Mentalist
Precognition is the knowledge of information, events, or situations before they have occurred. Here, the mentalist’s great strength lies in being a remarkable actor who, while using his powers of observation, is able to create suggestions in the spectator’s mind without the spectator realizing it.
A large number of phenomena linked to precognition are considered theatrical activities, with more or less imaginative staging effects—sets, dim lighting, unsettling music, and so on.
In mentalism, precognition is close to prediction and therefore requires certain preparations and manipulations in order to make the audience suggestible.
