Acknowledgments - Looking for Terry
By Terry Bradshaw
The difficulty in acknowledging the people who have helped get me to this page is that there are so many of them who should be mentioned. But I do need to thank our editors, Austin Ross and Caitlin Halstead, for their incredible work under difficult deadlines. Knowing there are people on the receiving end able to catch and run makes a huge difference, be it a football or a manuscript. I also want to thank our agent, Frank Weimann of the Folio Literary Agency, for putting this book in the right hands.
I also need to acknowledge former Secretary of Defense William Cohen, who pushed me out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to pursue greater areas; Admiral Bill McRaven who flew a long way to hear me speak and gave me the simplest yet most compelling advice: Accomplish one goal every day—I remind myself of that every day; Harry Rhodes for telling me forty-three years ago that I could be an effective public speaker; David Hill for seeing me on TV one day and deciding, “That’s my man,” and creating the most entertaining and successful football show in history; and all the doctors who took things out of my body and put things into my body and enabled me to pursue happiness.
I also want to thank my collaborator on this effort, David Fisher. This is our third book together; hopefully that’s just the beginning!
