I’m indebted to all the bloggers and authors who support me, review my books and give me space on their blog tours. I am lucky to know so many incredible people in the book world and appreciate you all.
Massive thanks to my lovely Dave for all the love and laughter you bring to my life, answering my numerous questions and reading through my final manuscript to help me catch those troublesome typos. And to my family and friends who all support me so much. You are all wonderful and I really appreciate you.
Finally, a heartfelt thanks to you, my readers, for buying and reviewing my books, and for your lovely messages telling me how much you’ve enjoyed reading them. Without your support there would be no more books. Thank you. Xx

A LETTER FROM KAREN
Dear Reader,
Thank you so much for choosing to read The Foster Child. If you enjoyed it and want to keep up to date with all my latest releases, just sign up at the following link. Your email address will never be shared and you can unsubscribe at any time.
For this book I’ve explored how childhood events can shape your future and still affect you as an adult and whether you can ever break away from your past. When Cora and her ex-husband fostered nine-year-old Violet it didn’t work out and they had to send her back to the children’s home to protect their own daughter, Lori. Cora never forgot Violet though and felt guilty about their decision. Violet never forgot them either and was hurt and angry with them. Elliot’s childhood was marred by his parents’ failure to look after him, his stints in a children’s home and an awful incident that happened when he was a teenager which gave him a big wake-up call and he has tried to atone for. Whereas Jacob saw his father suffer for years and when he learnt it was because of the reckless behaviour of two teenagers anger flared up inside him. Years later, when all their lives collide it triggers a series of events that puts them all in danger and Elliot almost losing his life. Can Cora forgive him for concealing his past and allowing it to crash into their present life?
I hope you loved The Foster Child, and if you did, I would be very grateful if you could write a review. I’d love to hear what you think, and it makes such a difference helping new readers to discover one of my books for the first time.
I really enjoy hearing from my readers – you can get in touch on social media or my website.
Thanks,
Karen
