This book’s main character, Mari, has hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Mari’s experiences and symptoms are based on my own hEDS, as well as others I know with hEDS. There is no universal experience. Additionally, Mari is a part-time mobility aid user. Many mobility aid users use them dynamically. Some days they need them heavily, and some days they may need them less. This is a very typical way to use mobility aids.
