The Write Off

Thirteen years after meeting outside a college creative writing class, former friendly rivals, best friends, and brief lovers Mars Darling and West Emerson reunite. Once inseparable, their bond shattered under the weight of ambition, competition, and heartbreak—leaving them bitter enemies. Now successful authors forced back together at an exclusive writers' festival, Mars and West must confront the unresolved tension and secrets that tore them apart. Told in alternating dual timelines across their nostalgic college years and a charged present, The Write Off is a sparkling, sharp-witted rivals-to-lovers contemporary romance about second chances, literary ambition, and the stories we write for the ones we love.
